Personally, migration became, among other things, an experience of artistic reinvention.

Being present in my everyday life through the observation of the natural world around me has helped me feel connected to my surroundings and adapt to my new environment.

Flora und Fauna Deutschlands is a personal project consisting of an illustrated cabinet of curiosities featuring plants and insects found in Germany.

Some species, such as the lily of the valley, are very common, while others, such as the edelweiss, are much harder to find.

Before starting the illustrations, I knew I wanted them to have the appearance of old botanical plates. I have always been fascinated by collecting insect wings, pressed flowers, and other natural elements.

The information sheet for each species includes the year and/or the first recorded mention of the species, along with various curiosities. For example, there is a German myth surrounding the mandrake, and the lily of the valley is a poisonous plant.

The project is still ongoing, and I will continue adding species that I find interesting or that I come across during my observations.

Please note that some of the information may not be completely accurate.
